Comparing Japan’s prefectures with countries with the same GDP

japagdp

Sometimes the best way to know about something is to compare it with something different but measurable with the same numbers.

A japanese infographer came up with the idea to show how Japan’s “inner economies” – prefectures”- have the same GDP (Gross Domestic Product) as nations around the globe. It gives you a new perspective on how finacially well, or not well are some prefectures in Japan.

Here’s the List of the prefectures and the countries from the north to south of Japan.

The List

Note: Somehow the deisgner put Nebraska and Hawaii to compare two prefectures. Maybe there wasn’t a country of that GDP.
